Export & Formats

Fast exports, broadcast quality. Hardware-accelerated on every platform that supports it — so your laptop doesn't overheat rendering a 20-minute edit.

Quality Presets

Pick the preset that matches where the video's going. Bitrates are tuned for each resolution so your exports look sharp without bloating file size.

PresetResolutionVideo BitrateWho can use it
Low720p8 MbpsEveryone
Medium1080p12 MbpsPro
High1080p20 MbpsPro
Ultra4K40 MbpsPro

The free tier is locked to 720p. Pro unlocks 1080p and 4K — plus you lose the watermark.

File-size preview

The export dialog shows you the estimated file size live as you pick settings. As a rule of thumb: one minute at Medium 1080p ≈ 91 MB; one minute at Ultra 4K ≈ 301 MB. No surprises before you hit Export.

H.265Better compression, smaller files (newer devices)MP4

ProRes 4444 (Pro, alpha)Transparent overlay export — drop into any NLEMOV
PNG sequence (Pro, alpha)Transparent frame-by-frame exportPNG

Telemetry Studio picks the fastest encoder your hardware supports — automatically. You can override this in Advanced Options if you need to.

Aspect Ratios

Export for wherever your audience is.

RatioUse case
OriginalMatch source (no crop)
16:9YouTube, standard widescreen
9:16Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts
1:1Instagram Feed square
4:5Instagram Feed portrait

Aspect ratio is set on the project — what you preview is what you export. Cropping is center-anchored by default, with optional offset control so you can keep the subject in frame.

Audio

Audio passes through from your source video, encoded cleanly at broadcast quality. Volume control from 0 to 100%, mute toggle if you want to strip audio entirely, or swap in your own music track in post.

HDR Support (Pro)

If your source video is HDR, the export dialog shows a Preserve HDR checkbox. Turn it on and Telemetry Studio keeps the full HDR color space intact through the export — the output is true HDR, not a tone-mapped version.

Hardware-accelerated on every platform that supports HDR encoding.

Hardware Acceleration

Exports use your GPU where possible:

  • Mac — native Apple Silicon / Intel Mac acceleration for all codecs
  • Windows — NVIDIA and AMD GPU acceleration, with software fallback when neither is available

Telemetry Studio detects what your machine has and picks the fastest path. No driver-wrangling, no configuration.

The watermark on free exports is subtle — a "Telemetry Studio" mark that fades in and out on a 10-second cycle, centered and at 40% max opacity. Not a deal-breaker for personal use; removed completely with Pro.
